The Tejano Academy of Fine Arts (TAOFA) is a non-profit agency that utilizes the arts and culture of Texas (Tejas) as discipline to work with at-risk young people.  Our programs work at developing the parent child relationship through positive art and cultural events and activities.  All proceeds from this event will be used to fund our various programs throughout the year.  Annually our programs service approximately 3,000 young people with drug education, mentoring and cultural activities.  TAOFA provides services to young people in the economically distressed areas of Corpus Christi who would not normally have access beyond their boundaries.

The 6th Annual Talent Competition and Showcase is the premier arts and cultural event presenting the best in new and upcoming artists as well as established national entertainers.

We are proud to be a part of the City of Corpus Christi who have partially funded this event along with the Arts & Cultural Commission.  We wish to personally thank the peer review panel that saw merit in this project.  The financial contributions made by each sponsor will help us realize the big picture which is to someday provide a safe haven campus where young people can be introduce to the arts and culture and receive the counseling and mentoring required to produce better citizens.  The long range goal is to provide educational scholarships to young people interested in careers in the arts and humanities.  Through your support and kindness, we will be able to make a difference in Corpus Christi and South Texas.
